“It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth.” (Mark 4:31 KJV).
READ: Mark 4: 30-32; Isaiah 55:8-9; 1 Corinthians 1: 27-28
The mustard seed is to be the smallest among all seeds. It looks negligible and trivial, but when it manifest as a tree it becomes the greatest of all trees and very useful. God’s ways are usually so ridiculous to our logical reasoning and we often time do not understand the how and the why. However, when He is through we find ourselves marveling in awe of His works. Why should small give birth to big?
God usually starts a thing in the smallest of ways and turns it into something beautiful. God chooses the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. It is a tiny seed, but it turns out to be one of the biggest of trees. Our ways and His are not the same. Obedience to things that logically do not make sense as long as God is saying it would bring our breakthrough our way. Our God does not follow logic. The call to salvation is down played because it looks so simple. We should be careful and be obedient whenever God calls.
Heavenly Father, help me not to take Your simplicity for granted. Help me to understand Your ways and to respond accordingly, in Jesus name I pray.
