JULY 17 – NEVER GIVE UP ON GOD

“And He spoke a parable unto them to this end that men ought always to pray, and not to faint.” (Luke 18:1 KJV).

READ: Romans 4:16-23; Genesis 32:22-30; 1 Kings 18:41-46; 1 Samuel 1

From the above, Jesus is giving us a critical principle about prayer. He says; do not stop, do not give up, do not faint, do not get weary, do not lose heart, do not quit, and do not lose hope. No matter how long you have been praying and the answer seems not to be coming through, do not give up. No matter how hopeless it looks, do not lose hope. No matter how ‘from bad to worse the situation has become, Jesus says keep praying and do not faint. He is the One that has the power to answer prayers. And if He says do not faint, believe Him. His word is true.

Hannah did not give up asking God for a child and God gave her Samuel and five other children. She would have died childless. The Syrophenician woman received her miracle because she did not give up.

His Word says, “Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised…” (Hebrews 10:35-36). Beloved one; faith is not just a feeling it is a decision. It is trusting God, no matter how long the wait has been.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, give me the grace to trust You and never give up. Help me to persevere in prayer until I see Your face and receive my miracle.
