July 26 – When the Supernatural Meets Fishing

“Nevertheless, lest we offend them, go to the sea, cast in a hook, and take the fish that comes up first. And when you have opened its mouth, you will find a piece of money; take that and give it to them for Me and you.”

(Matthew 17:27 NKJV).

READ: Luke 5:1-9

Whenever I read this part of the scripture, I cannot help but see the supernatural in action. It is naturally impossible to see money in the mouth of a fish. Liquid cash is not found in the lake. However, in the case of Peter, a fish provided money for him. This is because there is a supernatural influence in the person of Jesus. He gave an unimaginable direction, which Peter did not doubt. The result was mind blowing.

Your own fishing could be your business, job, health, or relationship. Always know that the supernatural is working for you. First, you have to believe in it and in what God says to you. If your need is a business need, seek direction from God on when to invest. You must cast your hook at the right time and place. It could be that your need is to be healed. If God says go and sow that seed in the life of someone else, do it immediately. That could be your own direction. Yours could be to go to the market and buy baby things that your barrenness of several years is over. Acting in faith is what provokes the supernatural.

In all that you do, never forget that you are primarily a spirit; and the supernatural is your natural habitat. It is not how you look or talk that make you succeed. God can make the impossible happen. Your hook and bait are just the bridge to get God walk on your behalf. You are a spirit. Be conscious of that. You were designed to operate in the supernatural.

Glory to God for I am not ordinary. The life of God is at work in me. I decree the supernatural influence of God over all that I do, in Jesus name. Amen.
