“That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight  of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie  in wait to deceive.” (Ephesians 4:14 KJV).

READ: Ephesians 4:17-24

Once a baby is born, at that stage he is completely dependent on the parents. A baby has no control of the normal physiological functions of the body like voiding urine. As the child grows, he begins to take charge of the body and learns to control some functions with the guidance of the parents.

The same goes for Christianity, at the point where we receive Christ as our Lord and personal savior. He treats us as babies as the Bible records. We are nurtured by listening to the word, studying, meditating, and being mentored adequately into adulthood in the faith. Essentially, this equips us for unfriendly tides and winds to come. So we do not depart from the faith. The preparatory stage just steadies us and makes us invulnerable to the wiles of this world. As believers the ability to remain calm in the face of storms and challenges makes us stronger and weakens the power of the enemy over us. God expects us to incline our hearts to Him in all things in order not to be swayed by the forces that rule the earth today. I will re-echo the statement- stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. Do not be shaken for you shall overcome every situation if only you can focus on Christ the solid rock upon which we stand, for all other ground is sinking sand.

Ask for the grace to remain steadfast and unwavering in faith in this journey of life.
