“If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don’t have love, I’m nothing but the creaking of a noisy gate.” (1 Corinthians 13:1 TM).
READ: 1 Corinthians 13:1-13, Galatians 6:2
God is love and this love of God is shed abroad in our hearts. Jesus demonstrated His love for us by laying down His life for us. We as children of God are expected to demonstrate love too. One way of doing this is bearing one another’s burden. As you go out daily, you will meet people with different needs; find a way to help out. Even an encouraging word can make a difference. Attempt to demonstrate love by remembering that God’s love for us is everlasting, and it is demonstrated when He gave His son. If we have accepted Christ, then God’s love is in our hearts. We therefore ought to love one another; for we are commanded to do so.
When we bear one another’s burden, we fulfill the law of Christ. This is easily carried out when we sympathize with others, show mercy, be patient to people, be kind, do not seek our own, and we are not puffed up.
Oh Lord make me increase and abound in love toward all men in Jesus name. Amen.
