“When thou passeth through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.”

 (Isaiah 43:2KJV).

READ: Romans 8: 37; Isaiah 43: 2; Psalms 34:19

Imagine watching “the miracle of Athens” all over again, in tape approximately 15years after the original event. Oh, I forgot…. “The miracle of Athens” refers to the spectacular come-back/victory the soccer dream team of Nigeria scored against the Brazilian soccer U-23 team at the 1996 Olympics. Good, now we are watching the game, the Brazilians score one, two, then three goals in the first half. With each goal they scored I get more excited, I proceed watching, it’s now mid-way through the second half and we are still down 1-3, I fret not…. You know why, I know the outcome! Brazil stop scoring, we scored three more times and win in extra time! I have seen it before, and am assured of the outcome, the process does not bug me, the result is pre-determined, and Nigeria will carry the day.

So is it with our previous lives, the outcome is known… we are in a fixed fight! God always causes us to triumph! He said when (not if) you pass through the fire…. It simply means trouble will come! In fact, another set may be on their way now. Stress will build up, strains will develop, sickness and sorrow will approach, but as sure as the rising of the sun, nothing will override or overcome you. He says he will not allow you to be tempted beyond your strength. So whatever bumpy, pot hole filled, checkpoint infested road you’re on… enjoy the road, because at the end, you will realize you were worried over nothing! So enjoy your troubles, celebrate your predicaments, and smile in the face of your challenges for at the end of it all… we’re greater than conquerors.

Thank You Lord for the assurance I have in You that You are working all things to my favour. Blessed be Your name oh Lord in Jesus name amen.
