“When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed.” (Ecclesiastes 5:4KJV)

READ: Ecclesiastes 5:4-6

Limitation takes over expansion when vows are broken. The person(s) whose vows you broke can stop your success. The works of your hands can be destroyed if you vow to God and fail to honour it.

Ecclesiastes 5:5 (KJV) says, “Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay. Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands.”

Have you ever entered a church and as they were raising money, you pledged to give a particular amount of money, and failed to do so? Your work is cursed already. You should go and redeem it by paying it now. There are so many such people in the church. You should always ask God to remind you of unfulfilled vows and act promptly. I had to do that severally. Prosperity covenants do not work for vow breakers. When you refuse to redeem your vows, a curse is placed upon you. Similarly, when you accept to redeem your vows you enjoy blessing.

I repent oh Lord anywhere I have broken any vow, give me the grace to fulfill and abide by my vows in Jesus name. Amen.
