“My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20 NLT).

READ: John.15: 1-6

In our text, Apostle Paul admonishes believers that if we must be born again and live righteous lives, we must be crucified with Christ and make Him the source of our lives and the centre of all our thoughts, words and deeds (Jn.15:1-6).  It is Christ in you that qualifies you to be a born again Christian and makes you dead to sin, the pleasures of the world, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life because you now live through Christ for God.  Scriptures remind us of Moses who was adopted by Pharaoh’s daughter but refused to continue to enjoy the splendour and comfort in the king’s palace.  He rather chose to suffer affliction with His people, the Israelites than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season.  The world and all that is in it is temporary and vanity.  Enjoy your new status in Christ. Be grounded in Him and experience a personal intimate relationship with Him. Christ in you, your hope of glory!

Lord, my desires I submit to Your will. Let Your will be done in all the areas of my life in Jesus’ name.
