“We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent us. The night is coming, and then no one can work.” (John 9:4 NLT).

READ: Matthew 9:37, Luke 19:13 – 26

The Lord Jesus Christ gave this command to every faithful believer to fill the vacuum or the already created vacant position by his departure on earth till His second coming.  This is an opportunity for service in the life of every believer.  We must therefore work the works of Him that sent us while it is day. That is, while we are alive, strong and vibrant, because night cometh when no man can work (John.9:4).  Jesus said to His disciples that the harvest truly is plenteous but the labourers are few (Mt.9:37).  You and I are among the few labourers the Lord is talking to here.  We must be ready to decrease the kingdom of Satan and to boost the kingdom of God till His second coming.  God has given everyone abilities (gifts).  You must identify yours and use it for the work of God and for the service to humanity not for your own exclusive enjoyment.  We must be willing to use faithfully what God has entrusted to us. There is always something to do for God. Be busy for God.  Delay is dangerous.  We must start it now.

Father, open my eyes to discover my assignment. Help me Holy Spirit to fulfill my assignment in Jesus’ name.
