“My child, if sinners entice you, turn your back on them!”  (Proverbs 1: 10 NLT).

READ: Psalm 1:1-3

The world is so charged with a culture of sin that we freely express iniquity without remorse.  It is seen in the office, at the market place, on television, magazines, movies etc. It has become a tradition in our world today. Sometimes it is brought to our face as we relate to people every day. The ideal would be to turn our back whenever sinners entice. The devil garnishes sin with seemingly attractive things, all to get us to fall, in the face of these enticements, “turn your back.”

Here are attractive offers you may face, making money in fraudulent ways, impersonating someone in exam, having an affair with that hot lady, knowing fully well you are married. The money might solve some of our problems, and we may have that moment of pleasure but it’s against the nature and will of God. The truth is it is against your nature to do that. God’s word for you today is to turn your back on such people.

Sometimes it might not be people. The things you see around in the environment might prompt a thought in your mind. Put a lid. This is the plan of the devil for you to fall into the trap of sin. I Thessalonians 5:22 (AMP) says, “Abstain from evil [shrink from it and keep aloof from it] in whatever form {or} whatever kind it may be.” This is very explicit. Do not give sin a chance. It does not matter who the person luring you is. How loyal you are does not count here. As long as it is going to make you displease God. Do not give in to it. You have been made free from sin. Live above it today. You are a victor.

Thank You Father for Your word in season. I live by Your word and not by the words of sinners. I choose to please You today and always, in Jesus name. Amen.
