“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”  (2 Corinthians 5:17 NLT).

READ:  Ezekiel 18:31-32

Only a few times in our lives do we have the experience of entering a new decade.  Some people have it seven times, some eight, some nine and only a very few ten.  Therefore, as a child of God turn your new heart and spirit towards God’s ways. In our text, the children of Israel were admonished to turn from ungodliness to godliness.  This can be achieved when we rid ourselves of all the offences and sins we have committed. Then our sins are forgiven and our hearts washed clean with the blood of Jesus. Everything becomes new.

Apostle Paul admonished us not to walk or do things as the people of the world because we are in the world but not of it. Rather we should be renewed in the spirit. When you became born again your spirit was recreated, which makes you live a sinless life. So always remind yourself that you are a new person with a new heart and a new spirit.  Do not allow sin dwell in your heart any more. You are a changed person.

I declare that I am cleansed, renewed, and bought over by the Kingdom of God! I shall never go back to darkness, death, and sin again in Jesus’ name!
