August 1 – Rule Your World

“And He sent forth His word and healed them and delivered them from their destructions.” (Psalms 107:20. KJV).

READ: Proverbs 30:5

Creation is ruled, sustained, and established by words. Like Chisel and Hammer in the hand of a carver, so are words from the mouth of both the wise and foolish person. The words we speak are our invisible, forceful, result oriented messengers. God’s word delivers medical services too. They heal and deliver from destructions. There is plurality of destructions, e.g. poverty, sickness, immorality, foolishness, laziness, bitterness, anger, rejection of salvation through Jesus Christ, and many other destroyers.

Are you sick? The Word says He (Jesus) was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him. We were in fact healed by His stripes (Isaiah 53:5). Do you want children in your marriage? “There shall none be barren among you”…”Be fruitful, multiply and replenish the earth”. Do you feel alone in the battle field of life?  You are not!  No weapon formed against you shall prosper! There is one job that rich men won’t do- working as gatemen and or watch men (Security service).

This is one job you must sign-in today!  Watch at the gates and borders of your life.  Build your life by His words. Watch (secure) your life by His word. Whatever you want in life is provided for in the word He sent.  Wise men seek for knowledge, foolish ones don’t.  Search the Bible for the word that fits every situation, occasion and condition of your life.  Rule your world by His sent word!

Prayer:

I am redeemed, blessed, fruitful and healthy. I have the life of God in me; and  guided by His Word and Spirit. I cannot fall though I may stumble.  All things (good or bad) are working together for my good, ultimately because my Redeemer lives! This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.”

August 2 – This Jesus

“Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth and the life, no man cometh unto the Father but by me.” (John 14:6 KJV).

READ: John 14:1-14

This is the most audacious statement made by any man who walked the earth. Apart from Jesus the Christ, Son of the living God, no man can lead you to the Father. Take count of the religious groupings in the world and particularly in your nation. They all claim to answer the question of creation and destiny of humanity, but dismally fail in their attempts.

They teach their followers virtues of humility, hard work, obedience to leaders and their deities. On the surface one easily buys into them on account of their moral good. Jesus Christ is not only a moral model mankind has known. He alone takes mankind beyond morality to power of Son-ship. God is your Father, who meets your every need. Today let Him lead your spirit. Jesus did not say I know the way I can show you the way, but He said I AM THE WAY TO THE FATHER! Jesus is the Way to peace, joy and fulfillment, let Him help you today and everyday!  He is the end of any search for the Father’s love. He is the way out of sin, poverty, addiction, sorrows, sickness, and every form of depravity and captivity.

In the Father’s presence all manners of burdens are taken off your shoulders.  Mankind’s priority is gaining the Father’s blessings but false doctrine replaced it with religious placards. Jesus alone presents us with truth. Error leads into deeper recesses of darkness, despair, frustration, and sorrows. Truth breaks open prison doors of the spirit, soul, and body. Go for Truth today and you will have Life!

Prayer:

Thank You Jesus for making me know You are the way, lead me on oh Lord in Jesus name amen.

August 3 – The Express Image of God

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live: yet not I, but Christ liveth in me…”   (Galatians 2:20 KJV).

READ: Galatians 2:16-21

In the beginning when God made man, He designed him to expressly live out His image; however when man disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden, he lost that nature. The nature of the devil, which is sin, came into man and ruled the entire human race. Through Christ’s death on the cross, man had the opportunity to have back that nature of God. For as many as believe in Him automatically, become the children of God. The Holy Spirit in the nature of righteousness recreates the sin nature.  This gives us back that image of God that was lost.

Having the image of God enables us to live victoriously and have dominion over the earth. Showing care and compassion, bringing healing, hope and adding value to our world are characteristics of the nature of God. This life can only be lived when we are conscious of the truth that Christ is the one that now lives in us. Our old selfish nature was crucified with Christ and the new life we have is that of the resurrected Christ.

Yielding ourselves to God gives us the opportunity to express the image of God. Consider yourself therefore as a vessel carrying Christ. We have no life of our own, that life was nailed to the cross.  When God looks at us, He does not see us but He sees Christ. Living with this consciousness will help you conduct yourself as Christ would. I John 4: 17b (KJV) says, “Because as He is, so are we in this world.” That is so powerful. Go out today with the mindset that you are the express image of Christ. Hallelujah!

Prayer:

Lord, help me to be conscious of the fact that I am the express image of God, and to live it out daily. Help me to continually manifest the glory of God in all that I do, in Jesus name. Amen.

August 4 – Operating With A Super-Intelligence

“And in all matters of wisdom and understanding about which the king examined them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers who were in all his realm.” (Daniel 1:20 NKJV).

READ: Daniel 1:1-21

Daniel, Shadrack, Meshach, and Abed-nego were students admitted into the institution established by Nebuchadnezzar in Babylon. They passed the requirements for admission (Daniel 1:4). These Hebrew children though slaves were able to be admitted into the same school as the children of the king’s seed, nobles, princes and wealthy in Babylon.

While in school, they were all meant to eat the food and drink the wine which the king drank. This was meant to keep them healthy and mentally alert but the four Hebrew children decided not to eat the food and drink the wine provided by the king. This was because the food and wine were served in honour of the god of Babylon. They rather chose to eat vegetables and drink water and they were found to be healthier than the others. This is what happens when we trust and obey God.

At the end of the training, the king communed with them and found out they were ten times better than all the most intelligent people in his entire realm. They had extraordinary level of wisdom and understanding despite the fact that they were exposed to the same kind of training with the others. I call that supernatural intelligence. This is available to anyone who is born again. This is because you have the mind of Christ. You are meant to be above in all things.  You must excel in every exam you write. You should be able to express a high level of wisdom that should be a puzzle to people. You should have the ability to solve problems with accuracy and precision. You have super intelligence. Use it today.

 Confession:

I have the mind of Christ. I operate with a super intelligence. I express a great level of wisdom and understanding. All of this ability is expressed in my job today, in Jesus name. Amen.

August 5 – Giving The World Your Source

“Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.” (Acts 3:6 KJV).

READ: Acts 3:1-11

The man at the beautiful gate was lame from his mother’s womb. He had been begging alms daily at the gate of the temple. He was at a place called beautiful, but his life was not beautiful. He survived by begging alms which was a temporary solution to his problem. Money fed him but did not give him his legs. When Peter and John saw him, instead of giving him a temporary solution, they offered him a permanent solution. They did not give him their substance, they gave him their source. They offered him Jesus, the permanent solution to every man’s problem.

As children of God, we are the light of the world. We are to light our world out of the darkness of sin, sickness and poverty.  Since Jesus is the source of our light, offering Him to the world will bring a permanent solution to their problems. The world is hurting and in darkness; they are begging for help to save them out of their devastating state. All we need do is to show them the love of God. We are expected to share the gospel of Christ to them. Delivering them from the nature of sin is taking care of the source of their predicament. By sharing Christ to the world, we are using our source to eradicate their source. Wow! What a life. As you go out today, make sure you express Christ to your world. Give healing and hope today. Be a blessing to your generation. This is because the world needs you.

Prayer:

Lord I thank You for being my source. Thank You for the power that is in the name of Jesus. Thank You for also giving me the privilege to use that name in authority over the devil. I make a commitment to be a blessing to my world today, in Jesus name. Amen.

August 6 – Be Need Driven

“So the disciples resolved to send relief, each according to his individual ability [in proportion as he had prospered], to the brethren who lived in Judea.” (Acts 11:29 KJV).

READ: Acts 11:28-30

There was a time in the era of the early church when a prophesy came that there will be a great famine in the entire world. The Holy Ghost inspired this prophecy; it therefore got the church ready for the coming days. Before the supposed famine came, the disciples resolved in their hearts to provide relief for the brethren in Judea.  What a heart motivated by love!

Poverty, tornadoes, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, terrorism, wars etc characterize the world we are living in. So many people live in devastating conditions. Some are in rural areas with poor health care and low standard of living. Even in the churches, organizations and environments we find ourselves, there are a lot of needs to be met. We are admonished to be need driven. Let us make up our minds to help people who are in need. We should express the love of God to people by meeting their needs.

Thank God, for organizations like Pro-Health International that is committed to meeting the needs of the poor and less privileged. As individuals, we might not have that much capacity to reach out to a large number of people, but we can start with one life. You can decide to sponsor that little boy in your street so he can go to school. A little, well-prepared food served to that old woman can go a long way. Look for a life today and make a commitment to be a blessing to that life. Begin now to make that impact you were designed to make.

Prayer:

Lord I thank You for Your love that was shed abroad in my heart. I make a commitment today to be need-sensitive. Help me Lord to continually be driven to act by the need of my world, in Jesus name. Amen

August 7 – No Condemnation

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” (Romans 8:1 KJV).

READ: Romans 8:1-16

A life in Christ is a life free from condemnation. However, so many believers still live in condemnation and guilt because they lack the understanding of the kind of life Christ has brought them into. Any man in Christ has been born into a life of the Spirit. This entails thinking, acting and talking like God. A man with the life of the Spirit ceases to walk according to the flesh. He ceases to live by his efforts and works. However, he now operates by grace.

This is where the devil has robbed many believers. He has lied to them to believe their works can obtain their righteousness. They try to please God by struggling to do nice things.  This has brought so many people into a life of self-condemnation and personal guilt. Instead of asking for forgiveness and moving on with serving God, they live in the guilt and condemnation of past deeds.

It does not matter who you are, what you have done, or where you have been, Jesus has set you free from sin. Any man who is in Christ Jesus has no right to condemn himself, because Christ does not condemn you. Come out from that guilt today. Never think you are unworthy to enter the presence of God. Ask for forgiveness today and move on to be a terror to the kingdom of darkness. The devil tries to cage Christians with guilt and condemnation to make them stay far from God and to keep them stagnant. If you are in that state, come out and live the free life God has called you into.

Confession:

I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I am far from guilt and condemnation. I will always come to God my Father in boldness to obtain mercy and find help in times of need, in Jesus name. Amen.

August 8 – Healing By The Spirit

“But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you.” (Romans 8:11 KJV)

READ: 1 Peter 2:24; Romans 8:9-11

The Spirit of God was the power behind the resurrection of Christ. His pierced side, the lost blood, the pierced hands and feet, were all irreversible damages. But by the power of the Holy Ghost, the dead body was revitalized. If we do know that the same Holy Spirit dwells on the inside of us, it therefore implies that the same resurrection power is at work in us.

A lot of us suffer from various disease conditions. The bible is telling us today that if that same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in us, He also has the ability to quicken our mortal bodies. He can still give life back to our sick body. You need to catch a revelation of this and every sickness in your life will cease. The Holy Spirit in you can bring healing to your body. That same Spirit can also cause someone else you lay your hands upon to receive their healing. There is so much power within you. Stop allowing the devil to victimize you.

You can only appropriate this power by faith in the name of Jesus. Speak to that health condition in your life, or the life of your loved ones. Command that disease to go. Stand on the promises of the word of God for your life and keep confessing the word of God until you see a change in your life.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for the resurrection power that is at work in me. I activate the power of God in my life by faith. I decree that every sickness in my body ceases to exist in Jesus name. Amen.

August 9 – Led By The Spirit

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”

(Romans 8:14 KJV).

READ: Romans 8:13-16; John 1:12

To be led by the Spirit of God is to be guided and directed by the Spirit of God. Only those who subject their lives to the leading of the Holy Spirit are regarded as sons. In the kingdom of God there are babes and there are sons in Christ. The sons are the mature Christians who live by the Spirit. They have tasted the word of grace and have learnt how to appropriate it to live a victorious Christian life. The sons of God are those who know what their inheritance in Christ is and are taking possession of them daily. To come to the position of a son, you must pass through a process of growth.

Children are expected to feed on the right food to grow. “As new born babes, desire the sincere milk of the word that ye may grow thereby” (1 Peter 2:2 KJV). Feeding on the word of God brings us to the position of a son and as you keep feeding on the word, you will mature into sons. As you grow in the word of righteousness, the more skillful you will become in the use of the word to produce results in your life.

It takes the sons to know the voice of the Holy Spirit. Haven therefore been established in the word, hearing the voice of the Spirit will not be confusing. Seek to soak yourself in the word and see God lead you by His Spirit. The confusions of life will vanish. You will know what to do, when to do it and how to do it.

Confession:

I am a son of the Most High God. I live by the leading of the Spirit. I subject myself to the instructions of the Spirit. I refuse to live according to the leading of my flesh. I live by the word of God today and always, in Jesus name. Amen.

August 10 – Passion For Souls

“Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.” (Romans 10:1 KJV).

READ: Matthew 28:18-20; Psalm 122:6

Paul was one man in the bible who was very passionate about sinners. He went to the ends of the earth preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. Everything he did was geared towards bringing the lost to Christ. He did not only desire, he prayed for the salvation of Israel. Paul’s heart’s desire and passion led him to always pray for Israel.

God expects us to be passionate about the sinful and dying people in our world. We must always invest time in preaching the gospel of Christ to them. And not only preaching but also spending time in prayer for the salvation of our country. The crisis that has become the order of the day in certain parts of the country requires our prayers. We as a people need to spend time to pray for our leaders. Let our desires to see change, translate into a commitment of prayer today. Take some time out to pray for this country. Ask for the salvation of the Lord upon every one. Sowing this seed of prayer can work wonders in the life of others.

Prayer:

Father I thank You for giving me the great commission of preaching the gospel to every creature. I commit every citizen of this country, including the leaders into Your hands that as many as have not received Christ shall be saved, in Jesus name. Amen.
